The group project overview

Our group has decided to develop a functional prototype of a system that will streamline the document flow of the employees City of Kamloops by providing an intuitive interface for creating, accessing and modifying the documents stored on the city’s internal database.

The City is deploying an enterprise-class documents and records management system. A challenge for rank and file knowledge workers involves classification of every document created according to a classification system of up to 800 categories. How can this be made easier than picking from a massive list or even a hierarchy. Is there a more intuitive way of representing 800 categories?
